Father, I am not worthy of your mercy, for I am a sinner, and I know that the wages of sin is death. (Romans 6:23)
I had no right to expect anything other than the death which was rightfully mine, and even to hope that you might accept me as a slave, was to foolishly desire a position that would never be granted to me, even in my wildest hopes and dreams.
But beyond all understanding, you extended the glorious riches of your grace and your mercy unto me, and saw fit to adopt this lowly sinner into your own holy family as a son (or daughter).
You gave me your royal robe, your signet ring, and even gave me your own name!
I thank you, Father, for your glorious blessings, and pray that you would find me to be acceptable in your eyes.
I pray that you would find me to be pleasing in your sight, a sweet smell to you, and a pleasant sound in your ears. (Psalms 19:14)
Because I am now your son (or daughter), You have sent your Spirit into my heart, the Spirit who calls out, "Abba, Father." I am no longer a slave, but a son; and since I am a son, you have made me an heir, and I thank you for your goodness to me, Father. (Galatians 4:6,7)

Not only have you become a father to me, my Lord, but you have become the father of all who will believe in you and repent of their sin, being baptized in your name through the authority of your Son Jesus.
You were a father to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, and you became a father to their descendants, the children of Israel.

Lord, you are the Master of my life.

(List some things in your life that God has mastery over, and thank Him for taking control in these areas.)

- His Name is Savior

You are my Savior, and I thank you for sending your Son so that I could find salvation and a pardon from the sentence of death that was upon me.
Father, I know that you loved the world so much, that you gave your one and only Son, and whoever believes in him will not have to die, but instead will be given eternal life. I thank you for the compassion you had for me, and for not sending your Son into this world with the intention of condemning the world, but rather to save the world through him. I praise your holy name and thank you for the forgiveness that you give to anyone who believes in you. (John 3:16-18)

- His Name is Lion of Judah

My Lord, you are the Lion of the tribe of Judah! You are mighty before the nations and angels, and you retreat before nothing. (Proverbs 30:30)
As a great lion growls over his prey, your wrath is kindled against the unrighteous, and even though a host of enemies come together against you, you are not frightened by their shouts or disturbed by their noise. Lord God Almighty, the Lion of Judah, you will come down to do battle on the peaks of Mount Zion, and will protect Jerusalem, your holy city, and deliver your people. (Isaiah 31:4)

- His Name is Prince of Peace

You are the Prince of Peace, and you will one day return to this earth to set up your holy kingdom. Although the peace that men build on this earth with treaties and contracts is false and does not last, there will be no end to the government and the peace that you will establish, my Father. You will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom, from that time on, and forever, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness. (Isaiah 9:7)

- His Name is Wonderful Counselor

No one can understood the mind of the Lord, for your ways are high above our ways, and there is no one qualified to instruct you as your counselor. Who did you consult to enlighten you, and who taught you the right way? Who was it that taught you knowledge or showed you the path of understanding? (Isaiah 40:13,14)
Truly, you need no instruction, for you are full of righteousness and wisdom, and you are the Wonderful Counselor. For from you and through you and to you are all of these things. To you be the glory forever! The depth of the riches of your wisdom and knowledge are immeasurable! (Romans 11:33-36)
I take pleasure in obeying your laws, for they are my counselors. (Psalms 119:24)

- His Name is Mighty God

You are the Great and Mighty God! Great are your words and mighty are your deeds!
You have spoken and ordered the orbit and course of the earth, so that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west.
You shine forth in perfect beauty from Zion, and will soon return to this earth and no longer restrain your wrath. A fire will come and devour the wicked before you, and a violent storm will rage around you as you call the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth to judgement. (Psalms 50:1-4)

- His Name is Everlasting Father

My Father, you are an everlasting father. Lord, you have been our refuge from the beginning of the ages until now. Before the mountains were born and before you created the earth and this world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God. (Psalms 90:1,2)

- His Name is Shepherd

You are the good shepherd, and you have laid down your life for us, who are your sheep.
I am thankful that you know your sheep, and I am glad that I was not hidden from you even when I was formed in the womb. Your eyes saw my unformed body and all of my deeds before I was ever born.
I praise you, father, because I am awesomely and wonderfully made.
You know your sheep, and we are thankful that you have chosen to speak with each one of us individually.
You call your sheep by name, and your sheep know your voice. (John 10:14; Psalms 139:14-16)

- His Name is Fortress

You are my rock, my fortress and my deliverer. You are my shield and my salvation. You are my stronghold, my refuge and my savior.
You have kept me safe from:

(List some things the Lord has kept you from.)

5.

Hear my cry, O God, and hear my prayers. From the ends of the earth I will call to you. When I grow weak, I pray that you would lead me to the rock that is higher than I, for you have been my refuge. You have been a strong tower against my enemies, and I desire to live in the fortress of your strength forever, resting in the protection that is the shelter of your wings. (Psalms 61:1-4)

I call to you, Lord, for you are worthy of praise. You have saved me from my enemies and from the destruction that is in this world.
Although the waves of death have swirled about me, and a downpour of destruction has at times overwhelmed me, my father, you have been kept me from perishing.
Even if the ropes of the grave coil around me, and the noose of death confront me, I will call upon the name of the Lord and I know, father, that you will hear me.
You love me enough, Lord, that when I cry to you in my time of trouble, you will hear me from your temple in heaven, and shake the foundations of heaven and earth in your anger against those who have in their hearts the intention to do evil against me.
Smoke will rise from you, and a consuming fire will blaze forth from your mouth as you part the heavens and come to my rescue upon the wings of the cheribim, and the wings of the wind.
Darkness will descend upon the earth, and rain will fall in torrents as out of the gloom the brightness of your presence blazes forth with the power of lightning as you come to deliver me.
Your voice will thunder from heaven, and resound throughout the earth. Your arrows will scatter my enemies, and bolts of lightning will rout them.
Even the valleys of the sea will be exposed and the foundations of the earth will be laid bare at the rebuke of my Lord, for the blast of breath from your mouth is more powerful than any two-edged sword.
You will reach down from on high and take hold of me, pulling me out of the deep waters, rescuing me from my powerful enemy, who is too strong for me.
They will attack me when I am weak, but you, father, are my support, for when I am weak, then you are made strong.
Then you will bring me out into a green pasture, next to a still river, and will take care of me, because you take pleasure in me.

Even when I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will not fear any evil, Lord, for I know that you are with me. (2nd Samuel 22:2-20; Psalms 23:1,2,4)

Thank you, Lord, for being my Fortress.

- His Name is Rock of Salvation

You are my Rock. Jacob worshipped you by calling you the Rock of Israel, and so did your servant David. (Genesis 49:24; Psalms 18:46)
You were the rock that you told Peter to build your church upon. (Matthew 16:18)

To your enemies, you are a stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall. (Isaiah 8:14)

One thing that I will ask of you, father, is that I may live in the house of the Lord for all of the days of my life, to see your beauty, and to worship you in your temple.
For in my day of trouble, you will keep me safe in your arms. You will hide me in the shelter of your wings, and put me high upon a rock. (Psalms 27:4,5)

I praise you, Lord, for hearing my cry and for pulling me out of the swamp of mud and slime. I worship you for allowing me to know the truth of your gospel, and for placing my feet on the firm rock of your salvation.
You have given me a new song to sing: a hymn of praise, and I will sing it from the tops of the mountains. (Psalms 40:1-3)

There is no one holy like you, Lord! There is no other God than you! There is no Rock like my God! (1st Samuel 2:2)

- His Name is Lamb of God, and Son of David

I thank you, Lord, because you came and placed your Spirit in the body of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of David, and you who had no sin, became sin for us. (Colossians 2:9; 2nd Corinthians 5:21)

You did not send another, but you came personally, and became the sacrificial lamb that pardoned our sin, making it possible for us to return to you.

I thank you for loving me so much, Lord, and I pray that you would help me to love you in return.

- His Name is King of the Ages

You are the King of the Ages, for you are the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Hebrews 13:8)
Heaven and earth will both pass away, but your words will endure forever and ever. (Matthew 24:35)
Your kingdom and your peace will never pass away.

- His Name is Eternal Light

In you, there is eternal life, and that life is the light we see by in the darkness of this world. Your light shines in the darkness as a witness to us, that we might believe in you, and that we might find you.
You are the true light, and you give the gift of eternal life to any who would believe in you, and obey your words. (John 1:4-9)
I thank you for providing a way for us to find you, father. Lead me and guide me by your light into all of your truth. (John 16:13; Psalms 31:3)
Help me to shine your light in this dark world, that others may see it and praise your name. (Matthew 5:14-16)

- His Name is Holy Lord of Glory

As you are Holy, dear Lord of Glory, help me to be holy. (1st Peter 1:15)
Help me to dedicate my life to you, and to obey your commandments, for you are the Lord who makes us holy.
Lord, you are holy, and you will not tolerate unholiness, as you proved to the Philistines of Beth Shemesh. You struck seventy of them with death, because they dared to look inside your Ark of the Covenant. Who can stand in the presence of the Lord, the Holy God? (1st Samuel 6:19,20)

Holy, holy, holy, are you Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come. You are worthy, my Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and it was by your will that they were created. (Revelation 4:8,11)

- His Name is Everlasting Life

I thank you for the everlasting life that you have made available to me. I thank you for the promise that I will be changed in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised immortal, eternal, and indestructible, and I will also be changed in the same way. (1st Corinthians 15:51,52)

- His Name is Creator

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In your great mercy you have given me a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade.
You have kept this inheritance in heaven for me, and through faith you will shield me by your power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last days of the earth.
For I will have been born again, and not just reborn in order that I may die again, but that I may live forever through your living and enduring word. (1st Peter 1:3-5, 23)

I praise you for creating me in your own image, dear father. You have given me the authority to subdue the earth that you created, and to rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground. (Genesis 1:27-29)
You created the heavens and the earth, and you formed me from the dust of the ground and breathed into me your breath of life, and I became a living being, and I thank you for the gift of life, dear Lord. (Genesis 2:4,7)

- His Name is Provider

Jehovah-Jireh, you are my provider. You provided Abraham with a sacrifice when he proved his obedience to you, concerning his son Isaac.
You provided for your people through your servant Joseph during the five years of famine in Egypt.
You provided for the Israelites while they wandered in the wilderness, by seeing to it that their sandals did not wear out, and by giving them quail to eat, and also manna from heaven, and water to drink from a rock.
You also provide justice, and deliverance for those who love you and have been called into your service. Romans 8:28)
"Test me in this," you have said, for you will throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that we will not have enough room for it. (Malachi 3:10)
You have told us not to worry about your lives, or about what we will eat or drink, or about our bodies or our clothes.
The birds of the air do not plant or harvest, and yet you take care of them, and feed them, and you have promised us that we are much more valuable than they are.
The lilies of the field do not work for their living, and yet not even Solomon in all his royal finery was ever dressed as splendid as one of them. You have reminded me, father, that if you take such care with the grass of the field, and if you clothe the lilies with such elegance, how much more will you clothe and care for me! (Matthew 6:25-32)

You promised that no one who has left their home or family or jobs for you and your gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age and in the age to come, as well as your gift of eternal life. (Mark 10:29, 30)

- His Name is Peacegiver

Your are my Peacegiver, and your peace passes all understanding. (Philippians 4:7)
When I am sad, you give me joy. When I am weak, you are my strength. When I fall, you pick me up.

You have put a joy in my heart that is greater than any wine could ever give, and in peace I will rest, for in you alone can I find safety. (Psalms 4:7,8)

- His Name is Healer

You are my healer, the great physician. You created me, and you know the best way to put me back together.
You healed Naaman of leprosy, you healed the woman with the issue of blood who had been unhealthy for twelve years, you healed the blind, and the crippled, and even brought the dead back to life.

(List some things or people that the Lord has healed in your lifetime, and give him praise for those blessings.)

If I will listen to your voice and live righteously, obeying your commandments, and following your laws, you have promised in your Word that you will not strike me with sickness and disease, for you are the Lord that heals me. (Exodus 15:26)

I thank you, father, that you did not come to punish me, but to save me. (John 12:47)

- His Name is Lord Most High

I praise you Lord in the presence of your holy angels and in the presence of all men.
Praise be to you, Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and the Father of us all. (Romans 4:16)
All greatness and power and glory and majesty and splendor is yours, dear Lord. Indeed, everything in heaven and earth is yours.
In your kingdom, you are the highest, most-illustrious, and magnificent of all. All wealth and honor come from you, for you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and the power to exalt and give strength to all. Now, my God, I give you thanks, and praise your glorious name.
But who am I, that I should be able to give you praise as generous as this? Everything comes from you, and I have given you only what comes from your own hand. I am only a foreigner and a stranger in your sight, as were all of my ancestors. My days on earth are like a shadow, without substance, without meaning, and without hope.
Dear Lord my God, as for anything that I have ever given to you or your church, or to others in your name, it all comes from your hand, and all of it belongs to you. I know, my God, that you test the heart and are pleased with integrity. All these things which I have given, I gave willingly and with an honest heart.
My father, I pray that you would keep in my heart forever this desire to serve you with all of my being, and that you would keep my heart loyal to you. And I pray that you would give your people the wholehearted devotion to keep your requirements and laws, and to do everything that you have commanded in your Word. (1st Chronicles 29:10-19)
To you, be the power and the glory forever and ever.
Let it be so.

Your Kingdom Come

Your kingdom is not an earthly kingdom that will one day pass away, but it is a spiritual kingdom, (John 18:36) and those who want to be a part of that kingdom must worship you in spirit and in truth. (John 4:23,24)
I thank you for making a place for me in your kingdom, (John 14:2) and for allowing me to be a part of your royal family.
Those on this earth work to receive the reward of a crown that will not last, (1st Corinthians 9:25) but I desire to further your kingdom; to help those who are lost in darkness to find your light, so that I might receive a crown of glory that will never fade away. (1st Peter 5:4)
Lord, your Word says that where our hearts are, that is where our treasure will be, also. (Matthew 6:21)
Father, please help me to die out to myself, and let my own heart die out. Give me your heart, so that I can be sure of receiving treasure in heaven with you. (1st Corinthians 15:31)
Help my eyes to not be dazzled by the treasures of this world, and strengthen my heart, that it would not desire them. I pray that you would make your kingdom so precious to me that I would sell all that I have, and give up everything in order to receive it. (Matthew 13:44)
You are returning soon to this earth to set up your kingdom of peace, and it cannot be soon enough. Even though your return may take place sooner than I expect, I pray that you would help me to prepare and to be ready, and come, Lord, I pray. (Revelation 22:20)

Your Will Be Done On Earth As It Is In Heaven

All of heaven and earth kneels in subjection to you, my father. (Hebrews 2:8)
You are the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To anyone who is thirsty you allow to drink without cost from the spring of the water of eternal life. Those who overcome will inherit your kingdom, and you will be their God and they will be your sons. But the cowards, the unbelievers, the obscene, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars will have no part of you, for you are holy, and your righteousness will not tolerate wickedness. (Revelation 21:6-8)
You light cannot befriend the darkness, and there is no harmony between Christ and Satan. (2nd Corinthians 6:14,15)
Your accomplishments are perfect, and all your ways are lawful. You are a faithful God who does no wrong; you are upright and just, and ruler of heaven and earth. (Deuteronomy 32:4)
Just as Nebuchadnezzar praised you and exalted you, so also will I glorify you, King of heaven, because everything you do is right and all of your ways are just. Anyone who dares to walk in pride you are able to humble. (Daniel 4:37)
You are the Sovereign Ruler, holy and true, and you judge the unrighteous and avenge the blood of your people with righteous judgement. (Revelation 6:10; John 7:24)
